Sandy began her career as a motion picture costume designer. While working on a film, the designer’s residence appeared in House & Garden. The producer took notice, and commissioned her to design a 30th floor condo in the iconic mid-century Sierra Tower. It was featured in Metropolitan Home, and Catherine Slessor’s See Through Houses, launching Sandy Davidson Design.

Enjoying the collaborative process with clients, architects, and craftsmen, her “warm modern” design is informed by balancing light, texture, color and architecture.

In addition to residences, Sandy Davidson Design’s portfolio includes restaurants. Among them, Chef Eric Greenspan’s The Foundry on Melrose, Marty D’s and Mason G, which Angelino Magazine named Restaurant Design of the Year.

Sandy is currently living and working in New York City.
